Antonio

Barbers Trafalgar Square – Antonio grew up in the heart of Romania’s capital city – Bucharest. He began his barbering career 15 years ago, working in a local barber shop back home sweeping floors for 2 years. He developed an insatiable passion for cutting hair from watching his colleagues over the years and so he dived straight into training where he worked as a barber for 10 hard-working years. When Antonio moved to London 3 years ago, his brother told him that the city was so diverse and multicultural. He loves how amazing it is that you can meet people from all over the world just in one place!

Antonio is a creative soul, and his love for barbering is not the only thing that fills up his life. He also enjoys filming and has experience as a videographer. He has a lot of great memories from shooting videos, TV shows and films. One that stands out for him is the opportunity to work with Miss Universe 10 years ago! He found working alongside an amazing team made up of over 40 people really exciting. Outside of London and Romania, his absolute favourite place to visit is Turkey. He finds the local people very inspiring, admiring the traditional Turkish barbering techniques and hard-working ethic motivates and fuels his thirst for becoming a Master Barber.

In his spare time, his days in London are spent exploring the streets with his family, where he loves to take time in relaxing and absorbing the beauty of the city outdoors. At home, he enjoys watching his favourite sport – kickboxing where he supports Romanian pro-kickboxer and MMA fighter Alexandru Lungu.

He is an expert in scissor work, and his favourite style of cutting is close cuts. He can be more creative with clients by using this technique because it gives him the ability to shape styles uniquely for each individual client that he works with. An absolute perfectionist when it comes to clean lines!
