A great start to the New Year
Celebrating the opening of our New York barbershop has been a huge high for us at Pall Mall Barbers, and the year has started with fantastic news with another award for our trophy cabinet as we have received the UK Board of Trade Award from the Department for International Trade.
The award is a result of us working with the Department for International Trade in growing our export business for our award-winning grooming and styling products, and the opening of our New York barbershop in NYC’s historic Rockefeller Center. These two strategies are key to our growth and working to build Pall Mall Barbers into a truly international brand.
Recognition from the Department for International Trade
Our General Manager Daniel Davies and Head Barber of our Bishopsgate Barbershop Christian attended the award ceremony, making Pall Mall Barbers proud. The award was presented by the Right Honourable DR Liam Fox MP, who is Secretary of State for the Department for International Trade & President of the Board of Trade.
Pall Mall Barbers have been recognised by the Department for International Trade for special recognition for our contributions to improving the UK’s export market and international reputation, as well as recognising excellence in trade and investment. As they work with thousands of businesses across the UK, this is a huge honour to be recognised as such.
Dr Liam Fox MP acknowledged Pall Mall Barbers, saying he was “Pleased to see this historic company, Pall Mall Barbers, taking a new step into exporting and working with the Department for International Trade to do so” adding “I look forward to seeing Pall Mall Barbers building on its successes to date.”
The Award also allows us to use the Government’s Board of Trade logo to promote our services and products for the next 3 years.
A proud achievement
Speaking about this latest award, Founder and CEO of Pall Mall Barbers Richard Marshall, said: “This is such a huge achievement for Pall Mall Barbers, and validates our strategic decision to open our first international store in New York in such an iconic location – as well as all the hard work that went into making that store a reality. We’ve built our reputation at home by placing our barbershops near landmarks and that strategy is continuing to pay dividends for us. That it has been recognised by the Government is amazing. I’d also like to thank the whole team of managers and barbers for keeping London running so smoothly whilst we have tirelessly worked on opening New York.”
As this is just the beginning of the year, we hope to go from strength to strength in 2019 and plan to fill the trophy cabinet to bursting point!

Pall Mall Barbers New York City barbershop is in the heart of midtown, in the Rockefeller Center. Perfectly located to provide styling and barbering services to gentlemen in one of New York’s busiest business districts, our first international barbershop opened in December 2018. It is also our first barbershop to provide color services for gents, thanks to our specialist colourist barber.
